Smith & Wollensky supported breast cancer awareness from September 12th throughout the month of October. The special pink dessert was inspired by Pastry Chef Alex Barletta.
Chocolate Cherry Cream Pies
Whipped Italian pastry cream flavored with Luxardo cherries and Gerard Bertrand wine reduction, sandwiched in a trio of soft dark chocolate cakes with a hint of anise.
Pair with Gerard Bertrand Banyuls
A lush and broad fortified dessert wine with plenty of structure and lovely flavors of sandalwood, spice, dried cherry, fig and a hint of caramel. Mature and well-rounded with notes of orange peel on the finish.
Proceeds from the Green Carpet kickoff event in Las Vegas, the Smith & Wollensky Pink Ribbon Pin, and dessert sales across all locations raised $2,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation will also receive $2 for every bottle of J. Lohr “Carol’s Vineyard” Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet sold during the 51st Wine Week and in October. The
J. Lohr Touching Lives Program began four years ago in memory of Carol Waldorf Lohr, late wife of founder Jerry Lohr, who passed away unexpectedly due to complications related to breast cancer.
Smith & Wollensy is proud to support The National Breast Cancer Foundation, which strives to save lives through awareness, education, and diagnostic and support services for those in need.
