Smith & Wollensky introduces its 2014 Person or Persons Extraordinaire (PPX) Loyalty program and names the 2013 PPX Grand Award winners. The PPX program is designed to allow members to acquire Extraordinary Rewards & Returns™. Members earn points each visit toward exclusive rewards and receive special privileges as they reach higher status.
“We have received such a great response from our loyalty members in the inaugural year that we have added some exciting new benefits for the 2014 program,” said Kim Lapine, Vice President of Marketing for Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group. “This year Gold-level members have the chance to win one of two PPX Grand Award destination trips. Experience Vegas in style with an exclusive tour of our Southern Wine & Spirits Nevada partner’s facility and a show on the famous Vegas Strip. The Miami experience, provided by Chateau d’Esclans, features a trip to the 2015 South Beach Wine & Food Festival, which showcases the talents of the worlds’ most renowned wine and spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities. Both prize packages include chef’s dinner at Smith & Wollensky and hotel accommodations provided by Mandarin Oriental.”
With the PPX Loyalty program it pays to indulge. In addition to priority seating, all PPX members receive an amuse-bouche for the table during each visit. Green-level members will earn benefits, such as a certificate for Smith & Wollensky PRIME Steaks Online and an “In-Your-Prime” birthday steak to celebrate at any of the nine iconic locations. Special Gold-level benefits include a VIP Chef’s dinner for four, “Private Reserve” wine gift pack and more!
The restaurant group recently named its 2013 PPX Grand Award winners. The Lincoln Motor Company partnered with Smith & Wollensky to provide a 2014 MKZ. Ted Beitchman of Philadelphia was chosen in a random drawing to drive the car for a two-year lease. Dave Perczak, Lincoln Area Manager, and Michael Pacifico of Pacifico Marple Lincoln, presented Beitchman with the car.
“I was stunned to learn that I had won the Lincoln MKZ having never won anything in my life,” said Beitchman. “I began dining at Smith & Wollensky after it opened in 2000 when I lived across the street. It has always been a great place to meet friends and watch games. I learned about the PPX program and have enjoyed earning points that I’ve used towards meals and rewards, such as the steak knife and steak sauce gift pack!”
J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines partnered to partnered to provide a weekend getaway, including a tour and tasting at its J. Lohr Paso Robles Wine Center. Kerry Levine of Houston was named the winner of the exclusive winery trip. “We are proud to be an inaugural partner of the Smith & Wollensky PPX program and to present Kerry with this memorable trip to one of the world’s greatest winegrowing regions,” said Cynthia Lohr, Vice President of Marketing for J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines.
“We were ecstatic to learn that we have won the winery getaway,” said Levine. “We’ve been regulars at Smith & Wollensky since it opened because of the great food and service. We have grown to know many of the staff on a personal level and even recently hosted our rehearsal dinner at the restaurant, which was perfect! We look forward to the trip as a second little honeymoon.”
