KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA (January 18, 2026) — Today, Smith & Wollensky, the internationally acclaimed, fine-dining steakhouse, debuts its newest location in Kuala Lumpur, introducing a new landmark for culinary craftsmanship, hospitality, and culture in Southeast Asia.
Nestled within the luxury area of Suria KLCC Mall next to the world-renowned Petronas Towers, the world’s largest twin skyscrapers, Smith & Wollensky blends the brand’s storied heritage with Malaysia’s vibrant identity. The restaurant spans approximately 18,000 square feet, featuring 306 seats from our all-day dining to our steakhouse, bar, and private dining room, and an event space accommodating up to 80 guests for intimate gatherings or corporate events.
The menu currently showcases 200-day grain-fed Black Angus beef from Australia, dry aged in house and in the near future will showcase our signature USDA Prime dry-aged beef, hand-cut and broiled to perfection, alongside locally sourced seafood, poultry, and produce that champion regional farmers and sustainable practices. Complementing the cuisine is a world-class beverage program led by an award-winning sommelier and mixologist, with a cellar housing nearly 10,000 bottles and 1,300 labels, making it the largest wine cellar in Southeast Asia. The collection includes exclusive partnerships with esteemed Napa Valley vineyards and outstanding selections from around the world.
The restaurant’s design pays homage to Malaysian artistry, with interiors inspired by batik textiles, pewter craftsmanship, and the national flower, the bunga raya. More than a steakhouse, Smith & Wollensky Kuala Lumpur serves as a gathering place for decision-makers, creatives, and tastemakers—a destination where business, culture, and connection come together.
“This opening represents a significant milestone for Smith & Wollensky as we continue to expand globally while honoring local culture and community,” said Nathan Evans, President of Smith & Wollensky. “Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant culinary scene and diverse heritage make it the perfect home for our next chapter.”
The Kuala Lumpur opening marks another milestone in Smith & Wollensky’s ambitious international growth strategy. Over the past several years, the brand has continued its expansion across key global markets, introducing its signature American steakhouse experience to new audiences in London, Taipei, Taichung, Seoul, and Manila.
